- Number one, they cannot stop the clock. You will eventually get out (unless you are doing life, which means you only have one option of personal power). - Number two, they cannot stop what you choose to think - choose good thoughts - they manifest your future!

My name is Brent OvalsenI spent over fifteen years in prison and understand the levels of suffering a person can go through.
Whilst imprisonment for a crime is a part of our society, the prison conditions can result in a bitter inmate, who in turn can become a career criminal causing more issues for the community, or at the very least has little to contribute to society upon release. Currently, 44% of inmates in Australia are reoffending. This number has continued to rise year after year. As with all humans from babies to the elderly, inmates need love if they are to transform and get out a better person. Prison does not necessarily provide love, and the onus is on the inmate to release self-hatred and learn to love themselves. This shifts their energy, and creates the space, for others to like and eventually love them too. So then, how do we transform our life as an inmate? How do we find contentment in prison and then get out and be a better person, someone who is actually beneficial to society? On my own journey, I have found a deep and rewarding inner contentment. This peace was found in the middle of prison conditions that were on the surface, harsh and not geared towards peace. What I have to offer are sound teachings that assist an inmate to access the divine within, and in doing so alleviate much of the suffering and find inner peace and joy. There are practical steps that anyone can take to achieve this. Accessing the divine within is not some esoteric 'thing', rather a basic premise that right now, all of us, have deep inner peace within, and yet we require practical ways to peel away the often multiple layers we have built up emotionally, mentally and spiritually - through life, through family lineage and even through prison institutionalisation. A positive and balanced inmate, becomes a person society is going to want to support and they gain the benefit of realising that they do have a purpose to fulfill still. |
Marriages saved, anxiety healed, and lives transformed to prosperity!
By Sue Evans Brent Ovalsen (Brent IAm) worked for me in my retail outlet Crystals and Wings between July and September 2019. The feedback in the entire region regarding Brent and his abilities has resulted in referrals for family members and friends. Brent worked with 80 clients including young adults and all the way up to an eighty three year old. Clients who had been stuck in behaviour and thought patterns found their burdens lifted and quickly adopted new, prosperous ways of living their lives. I personally attended a number of sessions with Brent where I was able to observe him in the art of removing negative energies from clients who had possibly been stuck for many years. One woman in particular had physical experiences where I saw her body contorting and struggling for ten minutes until finally an extraordinary sense of peace came over her. She could not remember the healing experience, and yet moved forward in her life rapidly. Previously, she had been in and out of state care and on medications, yet with only two sessions from Brent, she found her first non-abusive partner and is now working in two jobs. I know of five marriages in our region that have been transformed due to Brent’s guidance with one or both partners. Without any prior knowledge, Brent has accurately picked up where people are at and sometimes health issues as well. Why listen to Brent about prison matters?He spent 5,533 days in prison from 1999 until 2014. Throughout Brent's sentence, he found a great inner peace, when it seemed like things were going against him, even when life felt like some form of hell on earth.
Brent brings wisdom that can only be found through transforming great suffering into a place of peace, inner joy and positive hope, even when the external circumstances seem like the end of the world. Brent believes that the only prison is in your mind and once you learn how to manage your mind, you access the divine within and take charge of your destiny. In prison Brent did a prison-accredited counselling course and spent his days working with inmates on techniques they might employ to better cope in prison and make plans for a prosperous life. Brent would often work as a bridge over the phone with couples who were challenged by the dire circumstances they faced.
Brent understands legal issues, family issues and the myriad of prison issues that will arise throughout a prison sentence. Brent studied law (as a layperson) and represented himself in the Supreme and High Courts of Australia. In June 2018 Brent completed almost five years of parole and nowadays runs a small Australian company selling his self-development books and working one-on-one with people around the world. He is currently travelling Australia visiting every major prison and police-station, engaging with authorities to share ideas and insights about how best to assist inmates and ex-inmates.
